Summary

In 2020 I developed two apps in collaboration with Big Pixel (who handled models and animations) for a client of theirs, both relating to horse veterinary. These were an X-ray training app and an app to view muscle tension values during various gaits (with various animation playback methods). Both apps featured free camera movement for the user centered around the staged horse.

Custom tools

Various editing and importing tools, such as:

  • XR-ray camera placement and tuning in the editor, automatically stored to selected exercises
  • Automated conversion of muscle tension curves (fbx) to data on a single managing asset

Automated UI generation

Based on the exercises defined or the muscle data converted from animatino files, relevant UI entries are generated to populate the various menus

Custom render features

  • Muscle highlighting
  • Graph generation based on selected muscle data
  • XR-ray projection light
